Lupe Fiasco returns this week with another free track called “Pound Of Flesh/Paris Tokyo 2.” Lupe samples the Boi 1da-produced beat from Drake and Jay Z’s song “Pound Cake” from the “Nothing Was The Same” album that dropped yesterday.
The controversial artist’s rendition is a sequel to “Paris, Tokyo” from his debut album Food & Liquor. Lupe’s release has come shortly after the remix, “Hood Cake,” done by The L.O.X. (Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch).
Lupe released his last studio album “Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1″ a year ago, but has, over the past several weeks, been releasing a few songs like the Kendrick Lamar response track “SLR 2,” “SLR 3 (Round of Applause),” and “Peace of Paper/Cup of JAYZUS.”
Check out Lupe’s take on “Pound Cake” above.
