Ja Rule And Ashanti Changes “Natural Born Killers” Tour Name

Ja Rule and Ashanti are showing their sensitive sides.
The two hip-hop artists decided to change their tour name from “Natural Born Killers” to just “Natural Born” in the wake of senseless violence across the globe, Ja Rule told TMZ.
The “Put it on Me” singer said the pair thought it might “insensitive to the families of the victims” to leave it as is, according to TMZ.

The Queens-born rapper posted an updated tour poster to his Instagram account on Monday with the word “killers” crossed out.

Ja Rule assured TMZ that they have the right to call it whatever they want, but it was their choice to make the change anyway.

The “Natural Born” name is solely for promotional purposes as tickets for the show just state “Ja Rule and Ashanti,” according to the gossip site.

Ja Rule and Ashanti are well-known for putting out early 2000 hits as a team, including “Always on Time” and “What’s Luv.”
Their tour kicks off in New York City on Aug. 25 at the Playstation Theatre.

Mary J. Blige flies for divorce from husband kendu isaac

It looks like it won't be a family affair for much longer.
Mary J. Blige has filed for divorce from her manager and husband of 12 years, Martin (Kendu) Isaacs, according to court documents obtained by the Daily News.
The Bronx-born artist cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and is asking that Isaacs not be allowed any type of spousal support, according to the documents.
The date of separation is listed as "to be determined."
"Ms. Blige is saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce saying sometimes things don't work how we hoped they would, but there is a divine plan and a reason for everything," the singer's rep said in a statement to The News.
"Mary will continue writing and working on her album which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time," the rep said.
It is unclear if the couple, who don't have any children together, had a pre-nuptial agreement.
Blige brought on attorney Gary Fishbein to assist in her the divorce case. Fishbein previously repped Ryan Phillippe in his divorce from Reese Witherspoon and also represented Halle Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry in the couple's child custody battle.
The "Family Affair" singer married Isaacs back in 2003 at her home in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Blige and Isaacs made headlines in 2013 when they were hit with a $3.4 million tax lien by the state of N.J. Her hubby got defensive on Twitter noting that he and his wife are fine following the news.
The R&B superstar — often referred to as the "Queen of hip-hop soul" — got her start back in 1989 with jams like "No More Drama" and "Real Love" topping the charts. As of 2013, she had sold more than 50 million albums and won nine Grammy Awards.

An upcoming Rihanna show in Nice, France has been canceled in light of the horrific Bastille Day attack and the singer is safe from her visit to the suffering town, which saw the death of at least 84 people on Thursday.
The pop star was originally scheduled to play at the Allianz Stadium on Friday night as part of her Anti World Tour.

The 28-year-old singer was already in town on Thursday preparing for the show when a driver plowed into the celebratory crowd and opened fire at the Promenade des Anglais.

Dozens of other revelers were wounded in the rampage and the driver was shot dead by police.
Christian Estrosi, the Mayor of Nice, later tweeted the plug had been pulled on the performance, as well as on other events in the city.

A rep for the singer told Billboard magazine that the singer was "safe."

Still, sources told TMZ that the "Work" singer's team is frantically working on removing her from the chaotic region.

Actress Tichina Arnold shocked at hisband's sex tape leak

Rule No. 1 of hiding a sex tape: don't send it to all of your friends.
Actress Tichina Arnold — who starred in sitcoms like "Martin" and "Everybody Hates Chris" — is opening up about her estranged husband Rico Hines' infidelities that were broadcast publicly in a leaked sex tape.

Arnold said she did not expect the tape of Hines engaging in sexual relations with another woman "to go public the way it did" this January, despite the fact that she texted the video to several of her close friends, People reported.

"No one from my side leaked it," she told People.
Arnold sent the tape to a close circle of friends, including the women that served as her bridesmaids.

The 47-year-old actress from Queens said she felt "betrayed" after watching the video of her husband cheating.

"I had that feeling of, you know, beyond him being my husband, this is supposed to be my friend, my confidant. Somebody who I can trust. And when you can't trust the person that you sleep with every night, there's a problem," she told People.
"I could no longer trust him. I could no longer lay with him. And it doesn't make him a horrible person. We all make mistakes, but not with me and not on my time and not in my life," Tichina continued.

Arnold revealed that it also wasn't the first time her husband strayed.

The couple tried working on their issues, including Hines' prior infidelities, but it came to a point where she just had to move on from her second marriage.

"I'm sure there are a lot of people that are upset with me, but it's not their problem," she said. "This was my issue that I needed to deal with, and I'm old enough to deal with my issues."

As for finding love again, Arnold said she's open to it, but a third marriage is "not gonna happen."
How you look when you think you found the love of ya life …….

Queen Latifah Says Racism Is alive and kicking in VH1 Hip hop honor speech

Rapper-turned-actress Queen Latifah is calling for u.n.i.t.y. in the wake of last week's tragic police-involved shootings.
The hip-hop icon said racism remains prominent today following the recent wave of violence that led to the deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and five Dallas police officers — and she's ready for that to change.

"I don't care how much money or things I have, or Puff (Daddy) has, or Missy (Elliott) has, the ladies have, if I go outside and try to hail a cab and he passes me for the white woman standing right there — that racism is still alive and kicking," she said at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors show Monday.

"And we have to change that," she continued. "And I'm not blaming the white lady, she needed a cab too. I'm just saying we gotta change this attitude."
The empowering speech drew a rousing ovation from the audience at the ceremony, which was held in honor of influential female artists in hip-hop.

The "U.N.I.T.Y." artist, 46, is the latest pop culture figure to speak out following the horrific shootings. Others include Beyoncé, who paid tribute to the "senselessly" murdered Dallas officers with a solemn Instagram post, and her husband Jay Z, who unveiled a years-old, previously unreleased anti-police brutality anthem titled "Spiritual."

And Aliza Garza, one of the Black Lives Matters co-founders, weighed in on the movement at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors as well.
"This movement is grounded in black peoples' dignity, justice and freedom," she said. "It's about love, not violence."

Race wasn't the only significant topic discussed at the ceremony. Latifah, a Grammy winner, also discussed the importance of recognizing the achievements of women in hip-hop and continuing to celebrate female artists in the genre.

"All of the queens in this building — we built hip-hop," she said during her speech. "And there's no way I can allow us to be erased from the history or the future of hip-hop. So understand this has been happening for a long time, and it will continue. I ask that you listen, audience, and open your ears to some music from the females in this game."
Among the female hip-hip acts honored at Monday's event were Elliott, Lil' Kim and Salt-N-Pepa.

Video shows off duty cop kill Delrawn small in Brooklyn road rage.

Video Shows Off Duty Cop Kill Delrawn Small In Brooklyn Road Rage

The “damning” video showing an off-duty cop ewaited just one second before gunning down a motorist in a Brooklyn road-rage incident is certain to result in criminal charges, law-enforcement sources said Saturday.
Video of the July 4 incident obtained exclusively by The Post shows the victim, Delrawn Small, had just arrived at the window of Officer Wayne Isaacs’ car when Isaacs gunned him down.
Small, 37, is seen stumbling away from Isaacs’ car before he collapsed and died.
“The video is pretty damning,” a source close to the investigation said.
One police official believes a grand jury will be called in the case against Isaacs, 37, who could face a manslaughter charge.
“You’ll see some sort of charges filed,” the official said. “You have a person who is unarmed and they’re going to say the level of force used, versus force used against him, does not add up.
“When you use deadly force, there has to be some sort of grave danger to him. He can’t just say, ‘I got punched so I shot him.’ ”
Authorities are still looking for witnesses and additional video of the incident, which occurred early Monday on Atlantic Avenue and Bradford Street in East New York.
They want to talk to the driver of the car closest to the shooting, into which Small stumbled after he was shot. But the vehicle’s license plate is not readable on the video, sources said. “We’re really trying to track that person down,” the source said.
It’s unclear when charges would be brought, though one source speculated a grand jury could be convened as early as next week.
Prosecutors will want a solid case, according to retired NYPD sergeant and John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor Joseph Giacalone.
“Look what happened in Baltimore,” he said of the case against officers accused in the death of Freddie Gray, who died of injuries after being left unsecured in the back of a police van.
“If you go too fast, your whole case could be a disaster,” he said. “You better make sure you have your i’s dotted and your t’s crossed.”
The Small case is being handled by the state Attorney General’s Office, which issued a statement Friday vowing to “follow the facts and evidence — including this video evidence — wherever they lead.”
Sources said Small, who was in the car with his girlfriend, Zaquanna Albert, 35, thought the cop had cut him off on Atlantic Avenue.
Small — an ex-con with 19 prior arrests — followed Isaacs’ car for several blocks and ignored Albert’s pleas for him to stay in the car.
Small walked across two lanes of traffic to confront Isaacs, who quickly shot him.
It was originally claimed that Isaacs, who was on his way home from a shift in the 79th Precinct, was pummeled repeatedly by Small before the cop opened fire. But the video refutes that idea.
The cop, who has since been placed on administrative leave, was bleeding inside his mouth, sources said.
“Deadly physical force is supposed to be used as a last resort,” Giacalone said. “[Isaacs] could have rolled up his window. He could have backed up his car . . .
“It doesn’t appear as if he was being physically assaulted, as he was claiming. So I think this video is going to be a problem for this officer.”
The charges could vary, lawyers not involved with the case said.
“If that video tells the entire story, I would venture to say that [prosecutors] must charge that cop with a minimum of aggravated assault and definitely manslaughter,” defense attorney Charles DeStefano said.
The officer could have avoided the incident, defense lawyer Ron Kuby said.
“After looking at the video on The Post’s Web site, what I’m seeing is an off-duty police officer who easily could have avoided the confrontation by rolling up his window and continuing to drive his vehicle,” he said.
“What I’m seeing is the police officer engaging in intentional unjustifiable killing of a human being, which is known as murder.”
